April 22, 2024: The Upcoming Stuff
Well, look at that, I have a blog on my website now! How exciting is that?! I’ve always wanted to start a blog and now I guess I have.
I am so thrilled and touched at the response to Mothic Wreckage since its release in late January. It’s the very epitome of a passion project, and knowing that people like it has made every single moment worth it. With that being said, there’s no stopping now. So what’s coming next in my little literary bubble?
I’m glad you asked! The week Mothic Wreckage launched, I began work on a sequel. Well, a sequel, a prequel… comme çi, comme ça. (Both, like Five Nights at Freddy’s 2.) However you want to categorize it, a second book in the Mothic Wreckage universe is coming. I can’t give any guarantees as to when it will be available, but progress has been steady thus far and I’m very, very excited for everyone to see how Ocelle came to be the way he is.
Speaking of Ocelle, he’s making his debut in the theatre world next month. I have two new shows premiering with Speedrun Studios (run by my dear friend Austin Civatte): the first being Every Creeping Thing, a one-man show about Ocelle, and the second being The When & How, a sci-fi about a married couple who knows when and how people will die. I won’t mention any actor names here yet, but I am so proud of how talented everyone involved in these projects is. If you find yourself in Austin on May 24 and 25, come see these two shows; they’re being performed back-to-back! (Hopefully!)
After these two shows close, it’s back to writing Ocelle’s prequel full-time for me. I really think you guys are going to enjoy what it has in store: some lore, some more classic Ocelle antics, et cetera. Ocelle may not be the most lovable guy, but damn is he fun to write about! You’ll love what he has to say in this one, I promise.
Talk soon!
